Who we are
Our main website address is https://www.angelicsoup.com. Our incorporated name in the State of Wisconsin is Angelic Soup, LLC. Beth practices from both Wisconsin and Arizona, U.S.A.
This section is very stark and plain, which should conjure up feelings of seriousness about what we have to say here. In other words, we really mean it. Some of the sections below may refer to areas of the website (such as a blog) that we may have not yet implemented. The things that are applicable are those in force at this time.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Not everything you read here is pertinent to all situations, but is meant to cover all of our current offerings and possible offerings in the future. Things that we mention here may not be currently implemented or available on our website, and is not intended to imply that such features exist now or will ever exist.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using that service to display your personal avatar. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available HERE. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you may want to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact and Subscribe Forms
When you fill out our Contact form, it creates an email that is sent directly to someone here. Your information is NOT stored on our website, but we may keep your email in our company email server, which is operated by Google.
When you subscribe to any of our email services that we may offer, the information that you provide is stored on our email provider, Mailchimp, whose privacy policy can be read here.
Booking and Payment Services
Our booking and scheduling services are provided by Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace Company. You can read their privacy policy right here. Acuity/Squarespace may store your personal records and data of your transactions for financial reporting purposes and to make repeat bookings more convenient for you.
We use both Stripe and PayPal payment gateways for processing payments for products and services. You can read the terms of Stripe’s privacy policy here, and that of PayPal here. Both of these companies are licensed in the United States and many other countries to provide payment processing services, hence they are extremely secure and protect your financial information with rigor.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with
In a word, no one. OK, that’s two words, but the deal is that we do NOT sell, give away, distribute, allot, apportion, dispense, divvy, ration, yield, deliver, donate, grant, cede, provide, endow, or otherwise share your data with anyone, period. It’s yours, it’s private, and we respect that.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Our booking system and payment processors keep your personal records as required by their own policies and any applicable law. For that information, please review their individual privacy policies that we link to in the sections above.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. None of this information is ever retained; it is simply analyzed, a result is returned to us (spam/no spam), and the data is then destroyed.
If you have any questions or comments about our Privacy policies, please use our Contact Form and let us know.
